Abstract
In order to tackle the operational challenges and technical complexities of virtualization management,
CA Technologies (NASDAQ: CA) brought its latest virtualization management portfolio to market.
The portfolio includes support for service management, configuration management, trending and
predictive analysis, provisioning, and access control. All of the offerings are specifically designed for
virtualized environment, with pervasive support for automation. These solutions are also integrated
into CA Technologies broader enterprise management portfolio in order to deliver CA Technologies
vision of heterogeneous and hybrid management.
ENTERPRISE MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATES® (EMA™) analysts view these CA Technologies
additions in support of virtualization as strongly positive technical innovations, in line with the chang-
ing maturity levels and requirements as virtualized enterprise environments become more widespread.

Event
On July 20, 2010, CA Technologies announced the general availabil-
ity of new and enhanced products in its virtualization management
portfolio. They are specifically designed to enable an agile, secure and
low-cost IT environment, aligned with business service priorities. The
portfolio is intended for enterprises seeking holistic management capa-
bilities across the heterogeneous and hybrid infrastructure including
enhanced capabilities for service impact combined with powerful capa-
bilities for automation.
