Citrix Online Expands into Infrastructure Management for the SMB
Abstract: Citrix Online, a division of Citrix Systems, Inc, is making significant changes in its product positioning. Both Citrix and Citrix Online are well-known for Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) tools for the small and medium (SMB) business market. For the Citrix Online division, products have been focused around collaboration and communication technologies as well as remote support. Citrix Online is clearly shifting gears and posturing to tackle broad IT management requirements in the SMB; a single source solution. Last month, it announced the acquisition of Paglo Labs, Inc. along with the launch of a newly branded offering called GoToManage—complementing its other offerings including GoToAssist, GoToMeeting, GoToWebinar, GoToTraining and GoTo MyPC. The new offering addresses inventory and asset management as well at monitoring, reporting and trending for all types of SMB infrastructure components. This brief discusses the merits of Citrix Online’s new direction. |
