Making Cloud Real: Citrix Walks the Talk
Abstract: While the IT sector has many vague and evolving ideas of what cloud computing should be, a lot of details are yet to be resolved. And the devil is often in the details, as the old saying goes. For instance, we are experiencing a fundamental shift in network architecture being driven by the rapid untethering of devices from the corporate network due to increased mobility of workers and the Device of Choice (DoC) phenomena. The challenge is greater than just being a matter of workers bringing their own devices to work (BYOD) -- it is about using whatever devices users choose from wherever they are to access corporate applications and data. At the Citrix Synergy conference held in October 2011, Citrix Systems announced a list of Cloud-oriented solutions and enhancements, advancing its strategy to lead the market in addressing a broad range of challenges for operationalizing and optimizing Cloud architectures.
