Abstract:
In December of 2005, Cisco announced a new product portfolio for optimizing application performance over the network -- with its Network Application Performance Analysis (NAPA) solution. At the same time, Cisco introduced strategies for enabling superior application performance via the network with its Service Oriented Network Architecture (SONA) and new directions for leveraging the network to optimize the data center. What does this mean for network and enterprise management? This report provides a brief impact analysis of Cisco's near-term objectives and long-term challenges.
