Abstract:
ITIL version 3, the latest version of the IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL), represents a significant advancement for the practice of Business Service Management (BSM).

In this one-hour Webinar we will explore the issues surrounding the refined definition of the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) in ITIL v3, as well as the introduction of a more powerful system, the Configuration Management System (CMS), in which the CMDB fits. ITIL v3 has directly acknowledged BSM and discusses it as the ongoing practice of governing, monitoring, and reporting on IT and the business service it impacts. While Enterprise Management Associates (EMA) takes a broader view of BSM, including the technologies and products used to drive BSM, this recognition by ITIL is sure to bring BSM to the forefront of the minds of many more leading IT organizations.

Join EMA Senior Analyst Paul Burns and ASG VP of Marketing Jimmy Augustine as they highlight:

*ITIL v3 changes relevant to BSM
*How BSM and CMDB technology can be used to help transition from ITIL v2 to ITIL v3
*How ASG BSM products, including their metaCMDB, support the move to ITIL v3

Please note: This is a sponsored Webinar and EMA shares registration information with the event sponsor.
