Growing IT management research firm strengthens leadership and expertise
with highly experienced system operations and engineering expert
BOULDER, Colo., December 21, 2006, Enterprise Management Associates (EMA), the leading independent IT management research and consulting firm, today announced the expansion of its analyst team with the addition of Steve Brasen, a 19-year veteran in enterprise systems management, primarily with telecommunications and finance companies including AT&T and Bell Communications Research (Bellcore), MCI WorldCom, and Salomon Smith Barney. As an analyst at EMA, Brasen will work closely with renowned industry expert Andi Mann and focus his coverage on the rapidly expanding Systems Management arena.
“EMA is unique because of its commitment to only adding the most seasoned IT professionals to our analyst team,” said Dan Twing, chief operating officer at EMA. “Having worked within some of the largest IT departments in the world for nearly 20 years, Steve will be a great addition to EMA and his ‘in the trenches’ operations support experience will be a tremendous asset to our growing roster of customers.”
Brasen comes to EMA most recently from Spherion Technology in Colorado Springs, where he managed a large technical team providing 24x7x365 support for Agilent Technologies. He has extensive experience in a range of systems and management technologies for Windows, UNIX and other midrange systems, including administration, storage, and security, using products from HP, Symantec, EMC, Sun, IBM and others.
“The opportunity to join EMA and share my knowledge of IT Systems Management best practices and the fast-paced changes within the marketplace is intriguing and exciting,” said Brasen. “I look forward to further immersing myself in this space and bringing value to both EMA and its customers.”
