BMC Helix Enters a New Chapter as a Standalone ServiceOps and Agentic AI Provider

Montagu, a mid-market private equity firm, has agreed to acquire a majority stake in BMC Helix through a carve-out transaction from BMC Software, which KKR, a global investment firm, owns. KKR will retain ownership of BMC Software and maintain a minority stake in Helix. The transaction positions Helix as a standalone company focused on ServiceOps and agentic AI, while BMC continues separately as an automation company for the AI era. Helix enters this next phase with a long-standing customer base, a focus on mission-critical service and operations management, and a platform direction centered on unifying IT services, AIOps, and agentic AI. The transaction remains subject to regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions.
