CData Connect AI Gateway Puts Context and Enforcement at the Data Connection
Category: Impact BriefCData announced Connect AI Gateway on September 29, when it enters early access, extending Connect AI across models, tools, agents, and the enterprise systems behind them. The release combines model, MCP, and agent gateways with shared routing rules, guardrails, observability, and audit. The model gateway adds model routing and token-budget controls, while the MCP and agent gateways govern tool access and agent-to-agent interactions. A context engine draws from company knowledge, semantic definitions, source-level intelligence, and cross-source models over live data, then brings them together in an editable knowledge graph designed to improve through continued use.
