PFP uses a physics-based approach for detecting malware and counterfeit and used microchips. It is especially adept at detecting hardware Trojans such as the NSA Tailored Access Operations (TAO) hardware implants and malware that alters firmware and microprocessor kernels. This innovative approach can be applied to embedded systems, electrical power generation and transfer facilities, nuclear facilities, satellites and their control centers, banking and financial transfer data centers, control technologies such as SCADA and nuclear facility management platforms, and other highly regulated/controlled critical infrastructure environments that are high risk targets for malware attacks.
