Riverbed Technology recently announced enhancements to its SteelCentral platform focusing on incorporating new Digital Experience Management (DEM) functionality into its already strong User Experience Management (UEM), Application Performance Management (APM), and network-focused monitoring capabilities. Enterprise Management Associates (EMA) views this release as being particularly attractive in terms of its predictive network modeling in support of cloud migrations, enhanced integration between SteelCentral and Aternity, and automated topology discovery and modeling capabilities.

This EMA Impact Brief covers the details of Riverbed's June 20, 2017 announcement. In particular, it calls out the distinctive differentiators that Riverbed and SteelCentral bring to the table in support of APM, UEM, and DEM, as well as the unique capabilities enabled by the combination of Riverbedís strong network focus and Aternity-related assets.
