Since the advent of ubiquitous broadband internet service in the developed world, enterprises have offered employees the opportunity to work from home. With an internet connection, any information worker can be reasonably productive from home. However, until recently, the work-from-home option was primarily a perk rather than a strategic imperative. That paradigm shifted in 2020 with the COVID-19 pandemic.
