Kubernetes at Scale: Public Cloud-Managed Kubernetes Alone is Not the Answer
Abstract: From a business perspective, public cloud-managed Kubernetes alone is not the answer. Cloud-managed platforms such as EKS, AKS, and GKE are always embedded within the much larger context of the respective cloud vendor. While these offerings take care of managing the Kubernetes control plane, they still require enterprises to address many Kubernetes-related topics, such as cost control, security and data protection, scalability and performance, service reliability and availability, integration and interoperability, control and flexibility, technology lock-in, monitoring and analytics, and support and training. |
